This week, Jennifer Williams and her husband, Pastor Rodney, will take their newborn baby and head to Washington D.C. to meet with key members of Congress. Jennifer is the community development and abstinence instructor for PROMISS (Pregnancy Resources of Mississippi) and is passionate about the right to life. Williams will share her personal testimony and explain her involvement with the organization. “PROMISS offers invaluable services to Mississippians, including counseling women unprepared for pregnancy. It is vital that each woman considering aborting her baby has this information in order to make an informed decision.”
This year will mark the 37th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 historic Supreme Court decision making abortion legal in the United States. “Babies go to Congress” is a movement of Heartbeat International, an organization promoting pregnancy resource centers such as PROMISS. They will bring women and their babies from all over the country face to face with lawmakers in an attempt to show the impact of pregnancy care centers. Many of these babies will be little ones saved by such centers. Williams told The Link, “Pregnancy help centers are good for America because we provide the facts that abortion providers often leave out. All our services are free of charge and this saves taxpayer dollars. Pregnancy care centers empower and strengthen women and affirm life...”
